Stillwater's Mayor, who has served two terms, announced Wednesday he won't run for re-election this fall.

In a Facebook post on Mayor Ken Harycki's page, he said in part, "Today, I am announcing that I am going to get off the train at the upcoming station in Stillwater. I do not intend to run for a third term as Mayor of Stillwater. Ten years is enough."

He went on about his accomplishments of flood protection, rebuilding Lowell Park, and the new armory and fire station.

He also thanks citizens and his family for their support.

Harycki told the Pioneer Press, he made his decision in January and that a March 20 raid by federal agents on his accounting and payroll business had no bearing on it.

Harycki said one client in particular, a company he didn't want to name, was the focus of agents. He denied accusations that his business underreported taxes.

No charges have been filed.
