The Gophers baseball team is set to close-out their regular season with a three-game road series at Indiana beginning Thursday.

With a record of 26-20, the Gophers are trying to build on their sweep at Purdue last weekend. The second win in the series clinched a Big Ten Tournament berth for the Gophers. The top eight teams in the conference qualify.

The last time Minnesota and Indiana met was in the 2013 Big Ten Tournament. The Hoosiers earned a 4-2 win over the Gophers in the second round before going on to win the Big Ten title. Minnesota leads the all-time series between the two schools with a record of 101-40.

The Gophers will look to the mound for leadership behind Alec Crawford and Ben Meyer, both ranked in the top-five in Big Ten strikeouts. Crawford is currently ranked third with 82 and Meyer is fifth with 59.

After being named "Big Ten Player of the Week" on April 21, shortstop Michael Handel will seek to continue his success at the plate. Handel went 6 for 13 against North Dakota State and Iowa with a home run, four doubles and six RBIs.

The series will begin Thursday at 7 p.m. at Bart Kaufman Field.
