There's a border battle going on between Edina and Richfield over a proposed construction project.
Edina wants to redevelop an area along York Avenue next to Southdale Center into a six-story apartment and retail space.
Neighbors along the backside of the development in Richfield say it will block their sunlight.
Liza Schwab passed out 100 flyers against the project and the city of Richfield sent a letter to Edina saying the development is too tall.
"We're not opposed to the redevelopment we're opposed to how high it's going to be across from Richfield homes," Schwab said.
The city of Edina tells us the developer has moved the building farther back from the street to allow more sunlight.
Opponents will have another chance to weigh in on the development later this week.
The planning commission is meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Edina City Hall.
