Minnesota taxpayers affected by the 2013 tax law changes will be issued a refund or notification by June 27, the Minnesota Department of Revenue announced Tuesday.

Revenue Commissioner Myron Frans said since all law changes were made before April 2, more than 1 million returns were filed accurately.

The department estimated around 260,000 returns were filed before the tax cuts were made official. These are the taxpayers who would likely hear from officials.

The department said if taxpayers don't hear from officials by the June date, then they were presumably not affected by the law changes.
