A liquor bill that could alter sale times and locations was tabled by the Minnesota Senate Tuesday.

The omnibus liquor bill would remove the sunset on liquor sales at TCF Bank Stadium. A 2012 bill, which will expire this summer, approved sale of beer and wine for two years at the stadium for Gopher football and Minnesota Vikings games.

The tabling of the bill threatens the extension of some alcohol sales at the stadium. It is not known when the bill will be heard again.

The bill would also allow bars to be open until 4 a.m. in Hennepin County for the 2014 MLB All-Star game. The extended hours would start the night of the game on July 15 and end at 4 a.m. on July 16.

The senate soundly defeated a repeal of the state's law barring liquor stores from being open on Sundays. The chamber voted in favor of allowing craft beer tap rooms to sell growlers for takeaway on Sundays after the provision was stripped from the bill Monday. The bill was then pulled from debate.

Growlers are refillable bottles that may be taken away.
