A 24-year-old man has been arrested after crashing into a building following a police chase on Monday afternoon.

According to Minneapolis Police Spokesman John Elder, police tried to stop a car driven by Eric Darron Adams around 1 p.m. for reckless driving.

Elder said Adams drove off around the 3400 block of Thomas Avenue. Officers lost him and suspended the chase, Elder said.

They began the pursuit when they saw him again at 21st Street and Thomas Avenue, Elder said.

Adams crashed into a building in the 2800 block of Golden Valley Road and took off on foot, Elder said.

He was arrested a short time later and booked into Hennepin County Jail.
