Police are investigating two separate bank robberies that may involve the same suspect.

Maple Grove police were called to the Wells Fargo Bank on Sycamore Lane North around 5:36 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a robbery. Employees say the suspect showed them a note and that they gave him an undisclosed amount of money. He then fled toward Bass Lake Center.

The suspect was described as a black man in his 40s or 50s who was about 6-feet tall and weighed about 200 pounds. He was wearing a light-gray hooded sweatshirt with red or orange inside the hood, jeans, and a dark baseball hat with a “Call of Duty Ghosts” logo.

The Burnsville Police Department also reported a robbery around 4:11 p.m. that same day at a TCF Bank. They say it appeared to be the same suspect.
