Wild to Face Colorado in 1st Round of Playoffs

The National Hockey League has announced the Minnesota Wild will play the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of playoffs for the Western Conference.

The announcement comes after Colorado won the Central Division on Sunday afternoon.

The Wild cinched their playoff spot April 8 after going into a shootout with the Boston Bruins.

Minnesota is 1-3-1 against the Avalanche this season.

This will be the third time the teams will meet in the playoffs.

Complete 1st Round Schedule: Wild vs. Avalanche (all times Central)

Game 1 - Thursday, 4/17 - at Colorado, 8:30 p.m.

Game 2 - Saturday, 4/19 - at Colorado, 8:30 p.m.

Game 3 - Monday, 4/21 - at Xcel Energy Center, 6 p.m.

Game 4 - Thursday, 4/24 - at Xcel Energy Center, 8:30 p.m.

Game 5* - Saturday, 4/26 - at Colorado, TBA

Game 6* - Monday, 4/28 - at Xcel Energy Center, TBA

Game 7* - Wednesday, 4/30 - at Colorado, TBA
