The body of a middle-aged woman was found partially submerged in a creek in Maplewood on Saturday, according to police.
The body was spotted about 30 yards off a trail in the Kohlman Creek Neighborhood Preserve by a passerby, Maplewood Police Chief Paul Schnell said.
The water the body was found in was at the bottom of a steep, large embankment.
The woman was fully clothed with hiking boots on, Schnell said. There were no obvious signs of foul play.
Parts of the preserve and trail were blocked off while firefighters and the medical examiner removed the body.
