Northfield Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who went missing from his home Saturday.
According to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Christopher Nevin, 44, left his home on foot, leaving behind his cellphone and wedding band. He has not made contact with family or friends.
Nevin struggles with depression and has stopped taking his medication, authorities are concerned for his welfare.
He was last seen near the Northfield Country Club golf course and may have been heading to the Carleton Cowling Arboretum, a favorite place of his. The Carleton Arboretum was thoroughly searched Wednesday without success.
Nevin is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 230 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing brown Sorel-style boots, a black jacket and possibly a baseball hat.
Authorities are asking people in Northfield and surrounding communities to check their properties for signs of Nevin.
