The search has been suspended for a Minnesota father and son who are missing near Mount Evans just west of Denver, Colo.

According to the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office, the search Wednesday for 51-year-old Damian McManus and 19-year-old Evan McManus of St. Louis Park turned up nothing. There is no plan of a new search in the future at this point.

Alpine Rescue Team spokesman Bill Barwick said Wednesday dozens of searchers went back into the mountains after investigators were able to trace calls made when one of the men called a friend to tell them they planned to hike a mountain.

Barwick says relatives of the two men are still in Colorado, but they can't help search because of dangerous conditions.

Barwick says searchers aren't sure the father and son were equipped for wintry conditions in the Rocky Mountains.

The father and son were last heard from on April 2.

A fund for the family has been set up at the Citizens Independent Bank in St. Louis Park. See a Facebook page for them here.
