The video boards at the Metrodome weren't exactly big, and depending on where you sat, it was difficult to see replays of the action on the field. No need to worry about that anymore. The Vikings announced Friday plans for their new video boards, and they are huge.

There will be two high-definition video boards in the new stadium, one on the east end and one on the west end.

The east video board will be about 4,400 square feet (50 feet by 88 feet) while the west board will be 8,160 square feet (68 feet by 120 feet).

Each of the Metrodome's two video boards were 646 square feet (19 feet by 34 feet).

According to the Vikings, you could fit nearly 13 of the old Metrodome video boards into the new stadium's west board.

Fans will still experience an upgrade during the next two seasons while the Vikings play at TCF Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota campus. The video board there measures 5,184 square feet (48 feet by 108 feet).
