Firefighters rescued three men from Brainerd who were trapped on a floating ice chunk in the Mississippi River on Wednesday night.
According to the Brainerd Dispatch, the men were walking along the river's edge when the ice they were on broke off and drifted to the middle of the river.
One of the men on the ice was able to call his mom, who then called firefighters.
Firefighters were able to reach the men, who are in their teens and early 20s, with a banana boat.
None of the men reported injuries and were never submerged in the frigid Mississippi River.
The Department of Natural Resources warns people that despite the recent colder temperatures, the ice is not safe to walk on.
