The city of Minneapolis is trying to protect people's hearing.
It's considering a first-of-its-kind ordinance that would require almost every music venue in the city to make earplugs available at no cost.
Experts say a rock concert is about 110 decibels and can damage your hearing in 90 seconds.
"The group behind it is a three part relationship between Locally Owned Globally Known, Miracle Ear, and 3M. They will be providing the hearing protection 100 percent free to businesses." said Minneapolis City Council member Jacob Frey.
This ordinance would impact concerts at the Target Center.
A committee approved the ordinance Tuesday. The full city council will vote on it in a few weeks.
