Several people had to be rescued after an apartment caught fire in Brooklyn Park overnight.
Firefighters were called to the Huntington Place Apartments on the 5800 block of 73rd Avenue North early Tuesday morning on a report of a fire. When they arrived, they found people hanging from windows and jumping from the third floor.
Four people were hospitalized with minor injuries.
The apartment complex has 139 units, which were all evacuated during the fire. Of those units, 12 were damaged on the third floor.
The American Red Cross is helping three families who have been displaced - including 10 adults and four children - but all other residents have been allowed to return to their units.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and the incident is still under investigation.
