A St. Paul man is seriously injured after the SUV he was driving went off a bridge and fell onto another SUV.
The incident happened Saturday at 8:39 p.m. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 38-year-old Eric Fuentes was driving on 5th West Street leaving St. Paul and was about to get on westbound I-94 when his SUV went off the bridge, and fell onto the Marion Street ramp at the entrance to eastbound I-94.
His Ford Explorer landed on a Kia Sportage driven by 37-year-old Jennifer Beardsley of St. Paul.
Fuentes was seriously injured while Beardsley suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The ramp from Marion Street to eastbound I-94 was closed following the crash.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
At this point, a cause of the crash has not been determined and additional details have not been released.
