A bar employee was injured and another man was taken into custody after a shooting outside a downtown St. Cloud Bar on Saturday morning.

Officers responded to a gunshot complaint just after midnight outside the Press Bar and Parlor.

Officers believe an argument between a bar worker and some people he threw out, led to the shooting.

Police say the employee kicked two underage women out of the bar Saturday night. The employee told police he later spotted one of the women with a man and followed them out of the bar. The pair allegedly started spitting on the employee and shot him several times.

He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital ER for treatment of what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries, police reported.

One man was taken into custody and police are working to locate additional witnesses and evidence.

Police believe the suspect has given them a false identity, and they are working with out-of-state agencies to confirm the suspect's name.

The victim's name was not released.

Police do not believe there is any risk to the public.
