We’re getting a look at how our hospitals stack up against one another.
The Consumer Reports study was based on five categories: mortality, readmission, overuse of CT scans, hospital-acquired infections and communication. A perfect score is 100.
Hennepin County Medical Center got a score of 47. It got low marks for surgical-site infections and communication about drug information; it was the lowest of the 21 metro-area hospitals studied.
St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee did the best with a score of 68.
