As of Thursday afternoon, 12 jurors have been selected for the trial of a man accused of killing a Willmar, Minn., grandmother during a home invasion. Two more jurors still need to be selected.

Last August, investigators say Brok Junkermeier – who was 19 at the time – broke into 79-year-old Lila Warwick’s home. They say he robbed her and then killed her.

Two other teens were charged in the case. Prosecutors say Warwick’s own grandson, 18-year-old Robert Warwick, came up with the plan that led Junkermeier to choke and stab Lila Warwick last July. Court documents say Robert Warwick believed his grandmother had a safe in her home containing more than $40,000.

The West Central Tribune says the grandmother's body was found by law enforcement officers checking on her welfare after she missed a meeting at Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she was a volunteer.

The teen who acted as a lookout was sentenced to probation and community service in January. Sixteen-year-old Devon Jenkins earlier pleaded guilty to unintentional second-degree murder in adult court. A Kandiyohi County judge sentenced Jenkins to complete a youth correctional program, perform 100 hours of community service and serve probation until age 21.

Testimony is expected to begin as early as Monday.
