Vikings Agree to Terms with FA OL Vlad Ducasse

The Vikings added another unrestricted free agent on Monday, agreeing to a 1-year deal with offensive lineman Vlad Ducasse, his agent Joe Linta confirmed to KSTP's Darren Wolfson.

Ducasse, a 2010 second round pick, started four games for the Jets last season at guard. He was demoted in October. He was signed to play only guard even though he has some tackle experience.

Ducasse isn't expected to compete for a starting job, but will provide good depth behind Charlie Johnson and Brandon Fusco. Ducasse was also pursued by the Bengals.

The 26-year-old Ducasse visited Vikings headquarters last week, but left without signing a contract, The Associated Press reported.

Ducasse played tackle in college, but has played mostly at guard in the NFL.
