With 16 seconds left and the score tied, Taylor Reiss stole an inbounds pass and scored while being fouled on a fast break layup to give Minneota the lead for good over Goodhue in the Class A semifinals. Defending Class A champion Minneota won the game 45-43 to advance to the state title game on Saturday afternoon.

Reiss missed her free throw after the foul, but teammate Megan Larson scored after the ensuing rebound to give Minneota a 45-41 lead with about 10 seconds to play.

Minneota got 16 points from Reiss and Emily Stienessen. No other Vikings player scored more than seven points.

Goodhue's Mikayla Miller scored 25 points and collected 10 rebounds in the loss. She had little help though aside from teammate Meredith Watson, who scored 12 points.

Minneota led 21-20 at halftime but it was Goodhue who held a three-point lead with 3:21 to play. The Vikings outscored Goodhue 9-5 over the final three minutes to come back and win the game.

Minneota will face Win-E-Mac in the Class A title game Saturday afternoon at Williams Arena.
