Eastview and Bloomington Kennedy will play for the Class 4A championship on Saturday night at Williams Arena. Eastview beat Eden Prairie 62-51 in the first semifinal Thursday while Bloomington Kennedy beat Lakeville North 61-51 in the nightcap.
Eastview (30-1) scored 33 points off of free throws as Eden Prairie faced foul trouble in the second half. The Lightning were led Emee Udo's 17 points and seven rebounds, Kari Opatz' 15 points, and Madison Guebert's 12 points.
Eden Prairie was led by Emma Boehm's 22 points.
Bloomington Kennedy (26-6) has made the state tournament four times in school history, and for the fourth time, it will play for a state championship.
The Eagles won the title in 2005 and finished runner-up in 2006 and 2013.
Four players finished in double figures for Bloomington Kennedy, led by Tonoia Wade's 19 points and Ms. Basketball finalist Kenisha Bell's 18 points.
Lakeville North made a late run in the first half to trail by three at halftime, but saw the deficit climb to double digits midway through the second half.
MacKenzie Denk had 17 points to lead the Panthers.
Saturday's meeting between Eastview and Bloomington Kennedy will be the third of the season. They split their first two meetings, the most recent a 73-60 Eastview win on Feb. 14.
Bloomington Kennedy is the only team to beat Eastview this season.
Tipoff for Saturday night's championship game is scheduled for 8 p.m.
