Trailing 51-50 with 3.7 seconds remaining in the Class 3A semifinal Thursday, Callie Graff hit a pair of free throws to put Marshall ahead of Fergus Falls 52-51 and advance to the state title game on Saturday against Park Center.
Graff finished with 12 points, none bigger than the final two.
Marshall battled back from an 11-point deficit early in the second half to lead 50-49 with less than a minute to play. Fergus Falls' Bailey Strand made two free throws with 20 seconds remaining to give the Tigers a one point lead, setting up Graff's crucial free throws.
Marshall had seven players see court time Thursday - four of them finished in double figures.
Neither team shot the ball well - Marshall just 31 percent in the second half, Fergus Falls just 22 percent in the second half - but Marshall was able to outscore the Otters by 10 in the final 18 minutes.
Strand led Fergus Falls with 22 points, 12 of which came in the first half.
Marshall and Park Center will play for the Class 3A title on Saturday evening at Williams Arena.
