Senior Cayla McMorris scored a game-high 26 points to lead Park Center past Minneapolis Washburn Thursday in the Class 3A semifinals of the Girls' State Basketball Tournament. Park Center, playing in its first state tournament, will play in the championship game against Marshall on Saturday.

A close game for much of the first half, Park Center took control of the game for good about three minutes into the second half, building a small lead that proved to be too much for Washburn to overcome.

Two ninth-graders came up big for Park Center. Ann Simonet scored 14 points and Mikayla Hayes scored 13 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.

Minneapolis Washburn was led by senior Chase Coley's 25 points and a game-high 21 rebounds.
