A 28-year-old Minneapolis woman was charged in the death of a 23-year-old Minneapolis man.
According to Minneapolis Police, Maureen Ndidiamaka Onyelobi was charged with second degree murder in the death of Anthony Lee Fairbanks.
Fairbanks died in south Minneapolis after he was shot Saturday, March 8.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers from the third precinct responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the 2700 block of Longfellow Avenue around 10 p.m.
When officers arrived, they located Fairbanks, who had a gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to North Memorial Medical Center where he died Sunday morning.
Investigators identified Onyelobi as a suspect due to phone records and surveillance footage.
Onyelobi faces a minimum sentence of three years behind bars.
