Propelled to the Boys' State Basketball Tournament with their sectional final upset of Apple Valley, Cretin-Derham Hall continued down the road toward a shot at a third state title Wednesday, beating St. Francis 69-53 in the Class 3A State Basketball Quarterfinals.

The Raiders went on an 11-point run late in the first half to take a 9-point lead into halftime.

The Fighting Saints drew within four points twice in the second half, but were limited to just 10 points in the game's final 11 1/2 minutes.

CDH juniors Sam Neumann and Donnell Gresham each scored 20 points. Joe Rosga, also a junior, scored 15.

St Francis was led by Jake Johnson's 15-point, 11-rebound double-double.

The Saints finish their season 24-6.

Cretin-Derham Hall advances to the Class AAA Semifinals where they will face second-seeded Lakeville North on Thursday.
