A furious rally in the second half led by J. P. Macura helped Lakeville North outlast Buffalo 59-47 Wednesday in the Boys' State Class 4A Quarterfinals at Target Center.

Buffalo led by 10 points with a little over 13 minutes to play, but a Macura jumper started a 16-7 Panthers run that gave Lakeville North the lead for good with four minutes to play.

Macura, one of five final candidates to win Mr. Basketball following the state tournament, finished with 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Drew Stewart and Bronson Bruneau each added seven points, including late free throws that put the game away.

Lakeville North (25-5) advances to play Cretin-Derham Hall in the semifinals on Thursday.
