Rogers Public Works crews repaired a "significant" water main break that happened on Tuesday.
The Rogers Police Department says the break happened on the 21000 block of Rogers Drive behind Camping World. A Minnesota State Patrol helicopter was sent in to help crews figure out the exact location of the break.
A 10 inch water main located in a wooded area failed, according to the city. At least 2 million gallons of water were lost.
The repairs were complete by Wednesday morning, according to an update from the city.
Storage tanks lost a significant amount of water and wells began pumping to replenish the supply, according to City Administrator Steve Stahmer.
This could have been an issue if fire fighters had to battle a fire, according to Stahmer. "Fortunately, the location of the break was identified before water supply/fire flow became a serious concern and no such fire event occurred during the water main break," Stahmer wrote in a news release.
At least two businesses did not have water.
