WEB CHAT: Grading the Minnesota Wild's Trade Acquisitions

The Minnesota Wild were busy prior to the NHL trade deadline Wednesday, making deals to acquire Matt Moulson and Cody McCormick from the Buffalo Sabres and Ilya Bryzgalov from the Edmonton Oilers. KSTP's Nick Tabbert and Darren Wolfson discuss how the trades will impact the Wild's chances of making a deep postseason run.

Moulson and McCormick came at the price of Torrey Mitchell and second-round draft picks in 2014 and 2016 to the Sabres. 

Moulson, 30, joined the Sabres earlier this season. He has 17 goals and 21 assists in his 55 games with Buffalo and the New York Islanders this season. Moulson is in the last year of a three-year, $9.4 million deal and will become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

In exchange for Bryzgalov, Edmonton gets a fourth-round pick belonging to Buffalo in this summer's draft. The Wild obtained Buffalo's pick in the deal that brought Jason Pominville to Minnesota last season.
