Zach Yon finished off his hat trick in a decisive third period that sends Roseau to ia 704 win over Moorhead and their state-record 34th trip to the State Hockey Tournament - first since 2010.
Roseau survived a wildly-entertaining 8AA Final in Thief River Falls that featured eight second period goals and a hat-trick from Mr. Hockey nominee and North Dakota commit Zach Yon.
This was the 7th time Roseau and Moorhead have met for the 8AA title in the last 11 years.

Roseau came out of the first intermission with a 1-0 lead on the strength of Alex Strand's first period goal.
Then, the floodgates opened in both directions.
After Moorhead tied it at 1-1 on a Jacob Odegard goal 1:52 into the second, Roseau went up 3-1 on goals 1:52 apart from Brady Castle and Jack Helgeson.
The Spuds fired right back with a pair of goals 55-seconds apart from Aaron Herdt and Grant Weiss to tie it again at 3-3.
Yon opened his hat trick bid by giving the Rams a 4-3 lead at the 13:37 mark, only to see Herdt's second goal again even the score at 4-4.
Yon closed out the second period goalfest with 2:11 remaining, sending Roseau to the second break with a 5-4 lead.
That one-goal margin remained through 12:08 of the third period hen Yon closed out his hat trick.
Any hope of a Moorhead rally died with Strand's second of the game - a shorthanded tally that closed out the scoring with 40 seconds to go.
