A Minneapolis man was charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder after a shooting inside a North Minneapolis home, according to Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman.
Police say 37-year-old Demiteras Al Cooper knew 32-year-old Johnathon Harris, 32, who was found shot to death inside at 2017 North Hillside Ave.
According to the complaint, Cooper and Harris, along with another man, went to a bar for drinks. Cooper and the other man then left the bar without Harris. Cooper and the other man fought as they drove to the Hillside address, the complaint said. The other man went in and Cooper drove away.
About a half-hour later, Cooper returned to the Hillside home with one of his relatives. Harris had already returned from the bar. An argument broke out in the house and Cooper’s relative shot Harris, the complaint said. The two men fled, the complaint said.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner said Harris, of Minneapolis, died from multiple gunshot wounds. It was ruled as a homicide.
Cooper, 37, is expected to make his first appearance Tuesday.
