A septic truck driver has died Monday after colliding with a Union Pacific Train in western Wisconsin, according to authorities.

Around 10:58 a.m., the St. Croix County Emergency Communications Center received a call from the Union Pacific railroad about an accident involving a train and a motor vehicle in Hammond Township, authorities said.

Authorities said the train was heading westbound on the tracks when it struck the septic truck heading south on 150th Street when they collided at the intersection, which has a yield and railroad crossing sign.

The driver died on impact, according to authorities.

Authorities said there were no injuries to the occupants on the Union Pacific train.

The crossing is currently closed. The incident is under investigation by St. Croix authorities.
