More than 9,000 customers in the Twin Cities area now have power after an outage Friday morning.
Xcel Energy officials say the outage affected people in Brooklyn Park, Champlin, Coon Rapids, Osseo, Maple Grove and Minneapolis. All power has since been restored in the outage area, the company said. It lasted about 90 minutes.
Xcel Energy says the cause was likely a blown fuse in a substation.
