An advocate who will be a guest at Tuesday's State of the Union Address hopes to get the President's attention.

Vednita Carter heads Breaking Free, a non-profit that rescues girls and women from the sex trade in the Twin Cities.

Carter has dedicated her life to the cause and now that dedication is being recognized.

Representative Erik Paulsen, who has pushed several bills to combat trafficking, has invited Carter to be his guest at the address.

Carter says it is an honor to attend and she hopes to catch the President's attention.

She says if she has an opportunity to meet the President she'll ask for more money to combat the problem.
