Officials have identified the man whose body was pulled from the Minnesota River on Friday.
According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, 37-year-old Eric Michael Lindquist died from drowning and hypothermia when he fell into the river.
Lindquist was last seen by family members at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. Family members said he walked to Memorial Park to go fishing on the Minnesota River.
Dive team robots found the body in about nine feet of water, about 30 feet from the hole they think Lindquist may have fallen through.
Shakopee Police, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, and the Minnesota State Patrol searched for him using snowmobiles, an airboat and a helicopter for the past few days. Crews recovered his body Friday morning.
