University of Minnesota police are looking for a man who they say inappropriately grabbed a woman at the intersection of Essex Street and Huron Boulevard on Thursday.
The student was walking on the west side of Huron Boulevard around 4:55 p.m. when a man she did not know latched on to her right shoulder, causing her to stop, and grabbed her genital area over her clothing, police said.
When the victim confronted the suspect, he walked away westbound, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male, between 45 and 50 years old, five feet, three inches to five feet four inches tall with a medium build. The suspect was wearing a blue and gray jacket, dark pants, a gray winter hat, and glasses.
Minneapolis Police are investigating the off-campus crime. Anyone with information is asked to call the Minneapolis Police Tip Line at 612-692-8477 and reference case number MP-14-024224.
