Metro Transit ridership is up for the fourth straight year. In all, there were 81.4 million rides in 2013, which is only the second time that's happened in the last 32 years.

Despite the increase Metro Transit is eliminating a bus stop in Ramsey. Route 852 runs to and from downtown Minneapolis.

Last March, Metro Transit extended service four miles from Anoka to Ramsey. Recently Metro Transit evaluated the route and found about one person per trip is using that extension of the route.

Metro Transit will end the Ramsey station stop in the summer, but it's only one bad stop on a well traveled route.

Metro Transit tells us 1,100 people take that bus daily.
