A Sartell man who fell through the ice, leaving him fighting for his life, is now back home and on the road to recovery.
Thirty-year-old Joshua Johnson was fishing on Little Rock Lake back in November, which only had two inches of ice, when he fell through.
He was submerged in 10 feet of water for nearly an hour before he was taken to the hospital and left in critical condition, according to authorities.
According to his wife’s Facebook page, Josh Johnson arrived home last week.
"Life is definitely different right now, but different in a good way," Beth Johnson wrote. "My hubby is alive and home. Still a long road of recovery and getting his health completely under control but so far so good. I am so very happy he is home."
Good Samaritan Shane Sabraski saw Johnson go under and called 9-1-1. He said he hoped to meet Johnson again one day after he completely recovers.
