Minnesota Wild players Zach Parise and Ryan Suter will not bring their families to the Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia next month.

While playing in the Olympics is a big honor, concerns about terrorism and Olympic village safety has shaped the decision of Parise and Suter, who have decided not to risk the safety of their families.

"It's nerve-racking, that's for sure," Parise said. "When you see that stuff going on, it's not very comforting."

Suter shared similar feelings about the safety of his family, but is confident the U.S. and Russian governments can work together to keep everyone safe.

The Wild have seven more games before the Olympic Break. The Olympic Games begin on Feb. 7.
