Governor Mark Dayton is responding to a state legislative auditor report about taking a campaign aid on a state airplane trip.
Dayton told the Star Tribune it was a technical violation of state law and that he won't do it again.
On Thursday, the state's report was released and indicated Minnesota law has no consistent standard for whether the governor should be able to use a state airplane to travel to political events.
The report was done after a complaint from a republican-aligned group.
