The three people who were injured in a shooting outside a liquor store in Hudson, Wis., have been identified.

Authorities say 23-year-old Abdirahman Abdirizak Hersi, of Minneapolis, 21-year-old Mohamed Deballa Hussein, of Savage, and Fartun Ibrahim Aidid, of Hopkins, were taken to Regions Hospital.

All but Aidid have been released.

According to the Hudson Police Department, officers responded to the shooting around 9:20 a.m. When officers arrived they learned two men and one woman had been shot in an SUV parked outside of Spirit Seller Liquors.

According to a witness, the incident started at a gas station across the street. A liquor store worker said there were two vehicles there and some words were exchanged. The SUV headed to the liquor store and one of the occupants went inside. When that person returned to the SUV, the other vehicle had arrived in the parking lot. Words were exchanged before the incident turned violent, according to the worker.

Witnesses told officers that a tan or gray late 90s model Cadillac was involved in the incident. They said it had chrome rims and a Cadillac emblem on its hood.

An alert was sent out to Minnesota, for authorities to look for the vehicle.

An officer in Eagan spotted a Cadillac matching the vehicle's description, and possible suspects, in Eagan around 10:30 a.m.

The vehicle was headed southbound on Interstate 494. The officer followed the vehicle into Bloomington where it stopped in the parking lot of the Hampton Inn near Mall of America.

When officers approached the vehicle, it was empty. The two suspects were arrested near the hotel.

Officers learned the suspects left the vehicle and went into the hotel, where they placed "possible evidence," according to Hudson Police.

Bloomington police officers recovered the evidence and turned it over to Hudson police.

As of Monday, the two suspects are still being held by Bloomington Police, pending charges from the St. Croix County District Attorney’s Office. The charges are expected to be filed Tuesday, due to the holiday.
