ME: Lakeville Woman's Death Was Due to 'Hypothermia Complicated by Acute Alcohol Intoxication'

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has ruled the death of a 32-year-old Lakeville woman an accident due to "hypothermia complicated by acute alcohol intoxication."

Andrea Marker was found dead outside her family's home in the 17500 block of Illinois Court on Tuesday, Jan. 7. 

Police said Marker's body may have been lying on the sidewalk in front of the home for 20 hours.

Just a few days before Marker's death, police were called to the home for a domestic disturbance. Marker ended up in the hospital. "She had been consuming alcohol, there were other fears of self harm... in the investigation it was determined she needed to be placed on a mental health welfare hold," Lakeville Interim Police Chief John Kornmann said. 

Lakeville Police are continuing to investigate Marker's death.
