A hearing was scheduled Monday in Brown County in southern Minnesota over the release of the names of priests who have been credibly accused of sexual abuse in the Diocese of New Ulm.
A lawsuit was filed against the diocese in December seeking to have the list released.
Similar efforts led to the release of the lists held by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis as well as four others across the state, including Winona, Duluth, St. Cloud and St. John’s Abbey.
New Ulm is one of two Minnesota dioceses yet to release the list, according to the law firm involved in the law suit. The other one is the Diocese of Crookston.
The hearing took place at 10 a.m.
