A 93-year-old Saint Paul woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at the intersection of East Third and Earl Streets.

Officers were called to the intersection about 12:15 p.m. on a report of an accident with injuries. When they arrived, they found two vehicles on the northeast corner of the intersection.

Police say one vehicle was traveling northbound on Earl Street while the other vehicle was traveling eastbound on East Third Street when they collided. One vehicle ended up hitting a bus stop bench at the intersection, while the second car hit a tree.

Marion Krey was injured and taken to United Hospital, according to police. Officers learned Friday she died later. She was a passenger the vehicle that hit the tree, police reported.

Investigators are working with the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Officer to determine the cause of Krey’s death.
