The Salvation Army is ramping up calls for final donations with one week to go until Christmas Eve.

The Salvation Army wants to make sure every child receives a gift this Christmas. The Twin Cities branch is hoping to supply toys to 35,000 kids this year.

Major Jeff Strickler was in the KSTP studio to talk more about the need.

If you would like to donate, there are toy drop-off sites in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Roseville, Maplewood, Brooklyn Park and Coon Rapids.

Cash donations are being accepted in red kettles through Christmas Eve. You can also donate online or call 1-800-SAL-ARMY to make a contribution.
