Minnesota drivers will want to leave early again Thursday morning. Roads are still very slippery, so commuters are reminded to drive slowly and take it easy.
As of 10 p.m. Wednesday, the Minnesota State Patrol handled 481 crashes. More than 50 people were hurt and one person was killed.
There were also more than 700 vehicle spin-outs or vehicles off the road and eight jackknifed semis.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety is reminding everyone to be cautious about traveling in extreme winter weather. Cold, snow and ice are demanding on cars, drivers and passengers, and most importantly, extreme winter weather can threaten your life.
