Dealing with the snow can be a great big hassle in itself. Making it even worse is finding a place to park during a Snow Emergency.

On Wednesday, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak showed off the city's new and improved Snow Emergency Mobile App.

It's available for both Apple and Android phones.

It'll tell you where you can and can't park over the three days a snow emergency lasts in Minneapolis, helping you avoid the hassle of a ticket and tow.

You can also sign up for text and e-mail alerts.

The City of St. Paul doesn't have an app for Snow Emergencies but you can follow them on Twitter @cityofsaintpaul.
