One person is dead and a 4-year-old child is seriously hurt after a truck crashed into a school bus Friday morning in southwestern Minnesota, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The bus and truck collided at the intersection of 20th Avenue and 90th Street in Martin County, the state patrol reported. It is a gravel road.
The driver of the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado was westbound on 90th Street. They died and have not been identified.
The school bus driver, 69-year-old David Brodersen, of Sherburn, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. 4-year-old Chyanne Johnston, of Dunnell, who was a passenger on the bus, was seriously injured. The bus was driving north on 20th Avenue at the time of the crash.
The state patrol is still investigating.
