Family and friends on Sunday remembered a University of Minnesota student who was found dead more than a week after she went missing.
A memorial service for Anarae Schunk took place Sunday afternoon at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center.
Schunk's body was found last week in a roadside ditch near Lonsdale. Rosemount police say they believe she died at a townhouse where she went with her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend after they left Nina's Grill in Burnsville early Sept. 22.
Schunk's ex-boyfriend, Shavelle Chavez-Nelson, is accused of killing 23-year-old Palagor Obang Jobi of Savage, outside the bar. Police have said Schunk's death is related to that investigation.
Charges in her death are not expected for several weeks.
