St. Paul Businesses Celebrate During Open Streets Festival
Businesses who have survived the Central Corridor Light Rail Project celebrated on Sunday during the Open Streets Festival.
A part of University Avenue in St. Paul was closed to traffic as people got a look at new development along the street.
Along the 11 mile route, the Metropolitan Council found 122 businesses opened since March 2011. In that same time period, 90 have closed and another 28 moved off the corridor all together.
The Central Corridor Light Rail Line is schedule to open next summer, just in time for the Major League All Star Game at Target Field.
